Last week we spoke to some Mums at Mayesbrook Children’s Centre. They told us about having to walk on the roads with their prams because of not being able to get past the parked cars on the pavements. They felt this was really dangerous for their kids and talked of how this often leads to arguments with drivers and fearing for their children who grow up thinking that it’s normal to walk in the road. (Video coming soon).
Other mums spoke of how they would like safe pedestrian crossing points on the way to school so their children can learn how to cross the roads safely, more street lighting in the area and somehow putting an end to the dangerous double parking in Rugby road.
