Listening to residents at Kilsby Walk supported living accommodation (see earlier post for more details) and teachers at Roding Primary in Cannington road lots of people have told us about how they would enjoy and visit the Parks more often if there were safe, pleasant and free public toilets they could use.

Looking into this I discovered the Great British Public Toilet Map! Have a look here. This has been put together by Gail at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design and helps you to locate the nearest public toilet to where you are. However, the broken public toilets (well we couldn’t get into them!) at Mayesbrook Park aren’t on there. We sent a couple of ‘Nag your council’ messages to Barking & Dagenham asking them to release their toilet data, I’ll let you know what happens. Hopefully this will be the start of finding out if we can get the toilets up and running again!
